Some of your duties will include:
The Sr. Specialist Procurement & Contract will support the operation and maintenance of the LNG Terminal and Regasification department, ensuring timely procurement of goods and services while adhering to company policies, industry standards, and safety protocols. The scope includes strategic sourcing, supplier management, and procurement to ensure operational efficiency and cost-effectiveness.
Procurement Planning and Execution:
- Procure materials, equipment, and services required for the operation and maintenance of LNG terminal and regasification facilities.
- Prepare and process purchase orders and requisitions in alignment with operational schedules and budgets.
Vendor Management:
- Identify, evaluate, and onboard reliable suppliers and contractors.
- Negotiate pricing, terms, and conditions to ensure value for money and compliance with company requirements.
Logistics Coordination:
- Ensure timely delivery of goods and services, coordinating with suppliers and logistics partners.
- Manage documentation related to shipping, customs clearance, and import/export compliance.
Compliance and Reporting:
- Ensure procurement activities comply with company policies, local regulations, and industry standards.
- Maintain accurate records of procurement activities and provide regular reports to management.
Cost Optimization:
- Identify opportunities for cost reduction through strategic sourcing and procurement best practices.
- Monitor market trends and price fluctuations for key commodities and materials.
Stakeholder Collaboration:
- Work closely with the Operations and Maintenance teams to understand technical requirements and specifications.
- Liaise with finance, legal, and other internal stakeholders for contract reviews and approvals.
What skills and experience do you need?
- Bachelor’s degree in Supply Chain Management, Procurement, Business Administration, or a related field; Additional certifications in procurement (e.g., CIPS, CPSM, or equivalent) are preferred.
- Minimum of 8-10 years of procurement experience as Buyer preferably in the oil & gas, LNG, or mining industries; Proven experience in purchasing equipment and services for industrial operations, particularly in LNG or regasification facilities.
- Have Knowledge of LNG operations, terminal, and regasification equipment procurement; Strong understanding of supply chain management, logistics, and inventory control; Understanding of import/export regulations and trade compliance; Familiarity with health, safety, and environmental (HSE) standards.
- Proficiency in using ERP systems (e.g., SAP) for procurement.
- Strong negotiation, communication, and problem-solving skills; Ability to work independently and collaboratively in a high-pressure environment; Excellent organizational and multitasking skills.
- Excellent communication skills in English both verbal and written and computer literate
- Willingness to work in remote or mining locations as required.
