Urgently Needed Contract Engineer 

Company Description
Kumagai Wika Jakon Joint Venture cooperation with Ministry of Public Works and Public Housing (PUPR) through Directorate General of Housing Development, in collaboration with the Japan International Cooperation Agency (JICA), provides support for Provincial Government of Special Capital Region of Jakarta (DKI Jakarta) to build domestic wastewater treatment plants and pipelines called “Jakarta Sewerage Development Project” (JSDP). Kumagai Wika Jakon Joint Venture take part to build on Package 2 & 3 from 6 Package Total in 1st Zone. 



Role Description
This is a contract on-site role for a Contract Engineer located in Jakarta. The Contract Engineer will be responsible for managing contract administration activities, including interpreting contracts, reviewing contract specifications, ensuring compliance with contract terms and conditions, monitoring and tracking contract deliverables, and performing risk analysis and mitigation including time impact. The Contract Engineer will also negotiate and draft contract terms and conditions, and develop and maintain positive relationships with the Employers, the Engineer, suppliers, contractors, and customers.

Qualifications

Fluent in English and Bahasa Indonesia (verbal & written) 
Bachelor's degree or higher in Engineering, business, or related field
At least 5 years of experience in contract management or engineering-related work
Strong knowledge of FIDIC contract law, procurement regulations, and risk management practices
Strong negotiations, communication, and interpersonal skills
Excellent project management, time management, and organizational skills
Proficient in Microsoft Office (word, Excel, Power Point)
Proficient in Microsoft Project (for scheduling) if Applicable
Willingness to travel and work additional hours when needed.
Preferred Qualifications: 
Similar with Qualifications or master’s degree in engineering, Business, or related field
Experience working in a multinational environment.
Certification in contract management (e.g. CPCM, CFCM, CCCM)
