As part of a dedicated team of Cooks and Chefs, Assistant Cooks are gaining experience within the extensive Culinary operations. They support various functions and starting as an Assistant Cook can lead to career opportunities across all specialties of our Culinary Operations. A day in the life as an Assistant Cook may involve:

- Food preparation across a range of culinary areas
- Following recipes and supporting culinary leadership
- Ensuring specifications are followed to guarantee quality and consistency
- Maintaining high levels of sanitation and cleanliness in accordance with company and USPH standards
- Supporting logistics, preparation, and other tasks to assist the culinary teams

- Arrive at work on time in a clean and company-specified uniform
- Learn to maintain the quality and presentation of all served food and the timely expedition thereof
- Learn and follow all USPH and HACCP procedures in food production and galley maintenance
- Assist the cooks in production and serving the lines
- Learn to follow all recipes to company specifications
- Communicate and cooperate with all team members to ensure a smooth food delivery system
- Ensure garbage separation standards are being followed
- Perform all other tasks assigned by senior management

Position Requirements:

- Minimum one year's experience in a restaurant, hotel, or cruise ship environment
- Must have worked in a high-volume professional Culinary environment min 1 year experience. 
- Strong comprehension of the English Language
- Must be physically strong and able to lift a minimum of 60 lbs to sustain physically challenging work
- Ability to work as part of a team and independently
