Product Development Engineering Manager

Our client is a reputable multinational manufacturing company, the location is in Cikarang  

Requirements:

1. Formal Educational : Product Design, Fashion Design, and any design related.
2. Background engineering with Design passion welcomed. Working Experience: Product Design or Fashion Design
3. Technical Competence: Proficient in Adobe Illustration, Photoshop,3D software: Freeform, Rhinos, or Blender
4. Good analytical & problem-solving skill, leadership skills & good motivator
5. Excellent English skill
6. Excellent communication and interpersonal skills to maintain professional relationships with peers, while also foster the ability manage projects in a fast-paced environment. 
7. As a design lead, need to exhibit interest and knowledge of the current trends and demonstrate design excellence and problem solving,

Responsibilities:

1. Report to Director Product Development
2. Partnering with Designer Team in HQ (  Los  Angeles)  to  create  and discuss every upcoming project.
3. Translate the original sketches, and defining  the  full  specification  and  functional product.
4. Defining the full specification and functional product
5. Work on fabric art creation, control drawing and artwork for plastic part decoration.
6. Do research on material and/or trends to support the development process
7. Review and provide cost-saving ideas as required to ensure the project meets the cost target.
8. Associate with China and Hong Kong office, and/or outside vendor and ensure all the development process meets the design expectation.
9. Work with various teams of   Engineer on  Plant  to  translate   complete  design requirements into practical product features
10. Present and communicate their concepts to the design and other departments
11. Leader for a team of product development designers that work closely with corporate design from ideation stages.
12. Catalyst for finding equilibrium between design and manufacturing.
13. Support  transition  from   design   ideation  to   manufacturing  with  a  thorough  product development process, collaborating with related functions.
14. Support company goal in safety, quality, delivery and cost. Foster employee development
15. To find balance between design intent and manufacturing execution. This function requires a good knowledge of manufacturing processes, product development flow and design prowess.
16. The individual will lead the team to work closely with their design and development partners in the  creative process and at the  same time working with the manufacturing processes team to ensure a thorough buy-off.
