Corporate Legal Dept Head (Willing to be place in Bandung)
Qualifications :
- Bachelor of Law from a reputable law school.
- Minimum 5-8 years of working experience at prominent corporate law firms or in-house counsel in FMCG or retail industry.
- Significant experience in drafting, reviewing, and completing legal documents both in English and Indonesian, hence a high proficiency in English is a must.
- Strong legal knowledge for Retail Industry and/ or associated legislation, regulations and guidelines, corporate law and analytical skills (both technical and operational aspects), handling commercial contracts, intellectual property and competition law, dispute resolution, licenses and permits (building, production, distribution, etc).
- Desire to play an immediate, hands-on role in the day-to-day leadership and operation of the Legal department.
- Demonstrated success in developing, implementing, and enforcing internal controls. Passion for process improvement and streamlining.
- Have strong leadership and good attitude
- Have good communication, coordination and negotiation skill to all job level
- Willing to be located in Bandung
Task & Responsibilities :
- Manages various litigation and disputes (including setting of strategy for litigation aspects such as document production, court filings, legal fees, settlement negotiations, and coordination with outside litigation counsel). Manages outside counsel relationships and budget, including obtaining fee estimates for projects and ensuring that the management and billing is in compliance with the company outside counsel policy.
- Serves as the legal lead for (i) contract negotiations, including sales, manufacturing, licensing, marketing, real estate transactions and (ii) structuring key business initiatives in a manner that helps the business achieve objectives while at the same time protecting legal, regulatory, and tax directives and considerations. Coordinates and follows up with internal and external parties as necessary to oversee and drive the agreement process.
- Provide continued support on the creation, standardization and implementation of the company and group policies, terms & conditions, internal working procedures and standard operational guidelines.
- Advises when needed the board of directors and management regarding corporate governance matters
- Build trust with regulators: ensure excellent communication with regulators to understand and anticipate new regulations which could impact the business; manage and coordinate meaningful reporting internally and externally; respond to information requests, and proactively communicate business changes and notifiable events.
- Manage key external relationships including lawyers, regulators, law enforcement agencies, and vendors.
