MAIN DUTIES/RESPONSIBILITIES:

• Regularly meet with the business to gather requirements for new website features and design the solution for the development team.
• Be responsible for the overall architecture and solution development of our Shopify Plus eCommerce website
• Manage all levels of the development cycle and pipeline with the development team
• Take ownership of the website platform and make changes that drive business success
• Work with a wide range of stakeholders including staff in Indonesia and Australia to improve the website experience
• Proactively assess new technologies, apps and processes that drive business growth
• Develop and maintain any system integrations such as API links between systems
• Coordinate projects and tasks for the internal development team or external developers as needed
• QA the website and development tasks, for UX, speed, accessibility, SEO and code quality.
• Help build a highly skilled team of developers around you 
• Adhere to quality management standards and help further develop and improve the standards
• Achieve high customer satisfaction ratings and feedback for our website experience

 

SKILLS & EXPERIENCE

 Qualifications:

• Tertiary qualifications in software engineering, computer science or a related field

Skills/Experience: 

• Strong communicator, both verbal and written communication in English and Indonesian is a must
• 10+ years of hands-on technical development experience in website or ecommerce developments
• 2+ years in a team lead management  role
• Experience developing in Shopify Plus is essential
• Ability to identify what the business/customer needs/wants and translate that into actionable tasks for developers to understand.
• Ability to problem solve and workshop issues as a team
• A proven track record of quality control and documentation
• Ability to delegate tasks to other developers and coordinate efforts on one project or task
• Strong understanding of general website development concepts such as web performance, SEO, accessibility, cross-browser/device compatibility, security and responsive design
• Understanding of digital ecosystems, current market trends and technology options
• Shopify theme development experience:
  • Liquid
  • CSS
  • JS
  • HTML
  • Shopify/Ruby Scripts
• Proven knowledge of third-party integrations and custom tools:
  • Vue.js
  • Node.js
  • PHP
  • Shopify API
  • GraphQL
  • AWS
  • Strong understanding of API development
• Experience with workflow tools and adhering to best practice deployment techniques:
  • Git
  • Bitbucket
  • JIRA
  • Slack
