JOB RESPONSIBILITIES

• Design and drafting.
• Participates with other drafters, technicians, and others to contribute to project completion.
• Coordinate work with purchasing staff and suppliers.
• Build and configure multiple manufacturing bill of material variants.
• Ensure proper check-in & check-out processes to our PLM system.
• Coordinate work with design automation programmers.
• Participate in prototyping reviews.
• Follow up on production floor
• Performs other related duties as required.

 

 MINIMUM REQUIREMENTS

• 5 years experience or equivalent combination of education and experience with CAD (Catia or similar software)

 

PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS

• Experience designing mechanical components and assemblies with an emphasis on manufacturability and cost efficiency.          
• Proven experience performing engineering calculations to determine the size and strength of components. Solve design problems and check computations.
• Experience in preparing, modifying, and releasing drawings created in CAD to verify fit, form and function of designs.
• Experience with bill of materials and cost calculations.
• Experience with top-down design methods.
• Experience with CAM coding and CNC machinery operations.
