Responsibilities

• Managing the production of vegetable seed, including planning, strategy, and operations 
• Prepares the annual Budget estimates & Latest Estimates (LEs) for the  seed production department 
• Oversees the implementation and maintenance of the ISO certification
• Well versed in open field & green house seed production
• Plans human resources and greenhouse space allocation for seed production in an optimal manner
• Managing production staff and ensuring efficient use of labor 
• Production cluster development planning - short & long term 
• Acquiring & retaining growers and negotiating production contracts in target production cluster
• Maintain field records by each grower : ensuring optimum seed quality with nutrition & pest management
• Ensure genetic purity with periotic field visits / inspection by team
• Co-ordinate among seed production, Quality & accounts dept
• Seed production research trials for new varieties
• Establish public relations with BPSP & other authorities 
• Represent the production department in the management meetings to provide and receives updates from other departments for decision making.
