Main Responsibilities
To Build a Capital Plan for the site incorporating all 5 steps of PEP (project execution process) for large, medium and small Tier projects and directs all phases of the manufacturing engineering program for a medium to large project portfolio, mid-size production site, multiple sites, or an engineering technology capability or program for the Market.
Ensure compliance on manufacturing engineering policies, standards, best practices, and procedures, Originates and apply new and unique methods and procedures with considerable latitude.
Bridging/translating the detailed engineering design (from in-house or outside party/consultant) into real implementation/installation within the timeframe and budget. This includes day to day progress monitoring, taking action, escalation whenever issues arise or foreseen.
Responsible for overseeing, planning, and executing various construction projects. Utilize their engineering knowledge and project management skills to ensure the project is completed to the client’s satisfaction, within budget, and on time.
Daily duties and responsibilities include: Reviewing project plans and proposals, and working with management to develop project objectives, Identifying project responsibilities by determining the phases and elements of the project.
Calculating time frames and sequences for the project stages, Preparing cost estimates and budgets, and making adjustments as needed.
Monitoring project progress and making adjustments as necessary to ensure the project stays on track Working with architects, construction workers, and subcontractors to ensure all tasks are carried out correctly Conducting quality control checks, ensuring the safety of the construction site, and making sure the project complies with all industry and legal standards.
Reporting regularly on project status to all stakeholders, reviewing and approving project changes, and managing project risks, ensuring all necessary permits and documentation are in place
Qualifications
Specialized engineering or science degree in Chemical Engineering or Mechanical or Electrical and /or Controls Engineering.
6+ years of Project Engineering or Project Management with successful hands-on execution experience in Chemical or related industry
Project Execution and construction engineering background
Well versed with major Industrial codes and standards relevant to core engineering and technically skilled in using Engineering related tools and methods.
Understands and adheres to Ecolab policies, procedures, and guidelines pertaining to Engineering, safety, health and environmental emphasizing this perspective in their own work and others.
Expertise in procurement processes, negotiation skills and Techno commercial assessments.
Expertise in construction engineering and safety management.
Record of consistently delivering results despite obstacles and setbacks
Strong verbal and written communication skills in a variety of communication settings (one-on-one, small, and large groups), across diverse styles and position levels
Ability to influence cross-functional teams to a common path forward.
Ability to work collaboratively with others to meet shared objectives and gain the trust and support of others.
