What you’ll be doing day to day:
- Providing building facility management services to ensure a sustainable, safe, clean, and functional environment for customers.
- Maintain the shop in an "In Shape As New" condition by carrying out planned, corrective, and operational building maintenance and supports ongoing project activities.
- Maintain assets and buildings, by complying with all applicable local regulations.
- Help control costs by working in a simple, cost-effective way by using good examples and encouraging other co-workers to find ways to work more effectively.
- Ensure that all aspects of buildings and yards (facilities, building structures, assets, and systems) are maintained within an agreed cost budget and time frame.
- Provide assistance needed to external service providers to enable them to perform their contract services, and provide input to Line Managers on issues related to vendors.
- Running a reporting system in the facility department to view, record, and update daily maintenance and service activities, record risk incidents, submit work orders, and maintain a list of assets/equipment.
We want you to be a person who:
- Have professional qualifications in at least one area of building facility management (for example, electricians, carpenters, plumbers/plumbers, mechanical engineers, etc.)
- Having experience in providing building management services that are "customer-led". Experience working with a multiservice building management organization is preferred at least 1 year of experience
- Can use MS Office and software for building management.
- Able to work in an independent work situation to solve problems and to complete complex work within deadlines and costs.
