Job Description

• Collect, process, and analyze large datasets to extract meaningful insights.
• Develop and implement machine learning models and algorithms to solve business problems.
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams, including engineers, product managers, and business analysts, to understand data needs and deliver actionable insights. 
• Perform data cleaning, preprocessing, and feature engineering to prepare data for analysis. 
• Create data visualizations and dashboards to communicate findings to stakeholders. 
• Stay updated with the latest industry trends and continuously improve skills in data science and machine learning. 
• Conduct exploratory data analysis to identify patterns, trends, and anomalies. 
• Validate and evaluate model performance using appropriate metrics and techniques. 
• Document technical specifications, methodologies, and project requirements, and maintain project documentation as needed. 
• Participate in daily stand-ups, sprint planning, and other agile processes. 

Qualifications

• Proficient in developing T-SQL scripts using Structured Query Language (SQL).
• Knowledgeable about the design concepts and structures of transactional relational databases and analytical data warehouses. 
• Skilled in managing and configuring SQL Server AlwaysOn Availability Groups. 
• Capable of developing ETL processes using Airflow, Python, and SSIS (SQL Server Integration Services). 
• Proficient in SQL query analysis and optimization. 
• Understands SQL Server database maintenance tasks such as Backup/Restore, index maintenance, and query store analysis. 
• Experienced in developing and managing big data platforms using Hadoop with HDFS and Apache Hive. 
• Familiar with system design documentation using Unified Modeling Language (UML) and Entity Relationship Diagram (ERD). 
• Capable of operating Application Lifecycle Management (ALM) platforms such as Azure DevOps and/or Jira. 
• Has a strong understanding of the concepts and implementations of the System Development Lifecycle and its methodologies 
• Proven ability to build, manage, and foster a team-oriented environment. 
• Proven ability to work creatively and analytically in a problem-solving environment.
