Assistant Manager Tax will assist in developing and implementing tax strategies to optimize the organization's tax efficiency while ensuring compliance with relevant laws and regulations. He/She will help to oversee all tax-related activities, including tax planning, compliance, audits, reporting, as well as ad hoc tax matters e.g. tax objection and tax audit.

Functional Duties
Assist in developing and implementing tax strategies to minimize the organization's tax liabilities and optimize tax efficiency.
Support the investigation and development of strategies to optimize tax incentives and reduce the company's tax liability.
Contribute to the review and planning of innovative tax methods to minimize overall company tax liabilities and risk profile.
Assist in developing efficient tax plans for the recognition of sales revenue in accounts to save on taxes.
Assist in preparing financial statements for reporting to stakeholders such as stockholders, suppliers, banks, government agencies, and owners for decision-making, planning, and performance evaluation.
Ensure compliance with Indonesia’s procedures and financial reporting standards.
Assist in maintaining adherence to country statutory requirements.
Stay informed about changes in tax laws and regulations.
Apply knowledge of corporate tax rates and incentives to support optimal taxation strategies for the organization.
Perform necessary tasks such as tax filing and reporting based on corporate tax rules and regulations.
Provide tax advice and guidance to internal teams, including Finance, Legal, and Business Development, on the tax implications of business decisions and transactions.
Monitor updates on tax laws and ensure compliance with rules and regulations.
Assist in maintaining proper and accurate accounts for all business transactions and ensuring timely tax filing procedures and deadlines are met.
Assist in managing tax audits and inquiries from tax authorities.
Help develop and document systematic internal procedures, templates, and reporting processes that adhere to national standards.
Support the tax team, providing guidance and development opportunities as needed
Assist in building and maintaining relationships with external tax advisors, auditors, and tax authorities.
Prepare schedules and liaise with tax authorities and other relevant authorities for tax audits and appeals.
Assist in preparing internal memorandums, written correspondence, private letter rulings, and other documents for submission to tax authorities.
Monitor document retention to ensure compliance during tax audits and investigations.
Review and assist in the computation of deferred tax and tax provisions based on the latest financial statements.
Role Duties
Develop annual plans and budget developments for sub-departments to align with department wide strategy including ensuring budget adherence to the approved budget
Lead SOP development and amendment to ensure all SOPs align with business objectives and regulatory requirement
Track operating progress and results against annual plan and KPIs to ensure targets are met; develop action plans as needed
Lead the identification of innovation and continuous improvement initiatives
Traits
Proficiency in tax accounting, tax compliance, and all types of tax returns.Strong understanding of corporate tax regulations and tax law.
Experience with tax software and financial reporting tools
Ability to interpret and apply complex tax regulations.
High level of accuracy and attention to detail.
Proactive approach in recommending appropriate actions based on changes in tax laws.
Merits
Minimum working experience:
Minimum of 3-5 years of relevant tax experience, preferably within a corporate environment or public accounting firm.
English Language proficiency at an advanced level
Education:
A bachelor's/master's degree in Accounting, Finance, Taxation, or a related field
Proficiency in tax research and analysis, as well as experience with tax compliance software and financial systems.
